Ramps

Post by misszora » Sun May 06, 2012 10:56 am

Howdy everybody!
Need a recommendation on a place to pick up a pair of affordable ramps. Harbor Freight?
Just want a little space between me and MZ's underbelly. :-)

thanks!

Looking for a set to use or to own? I've got a pair I'm not using and can't foresee needing anytime soon.

Check thrift stores, Craigslist, garage sales .. not sure I'd trust HarF ramps with a Bus.

I never have trusted ramps, i always jack the bus up and use jack stands. and chuck the tires.

though i have seen ramps at pep boys if that is the way you want to go.

Hal,
I would love to borrow them if you wouldn't mind. Can you bring them with you to the hardware store on Wednesday?

Second the idea for finding them used. Bought mine at a garage sale for $5 (although 15 years ago). Don't use them too often, but handy to have.

Of course, if you can borrow a set that you don't have to drive to far for, might as well do that!

I gave up on ramps when I tried to use them with the Jetta. They just kept launching out from under the car when I tried to drive up on them.
