I used one on my old 72 Rivi. I had empi and it did OK but rusted rather quickly. I dropped the dough($250 I think) for the ceramic coated Thunderbird too and that one lasted a little longer but still rusted.

Just bought an NOS Lange Muffler for my 72 Kombi from Hazetguy on TS. Cost me $125.

The tangerine is a sweeeeEET Jezus that is expensive!

*Khm*... As I was saying, the tangerine is a sweet sounding exhaust and it looks pretty damn good too. Judging by the welds they probably join up the primaries, cut it to plain, then attach the 4-1 with the muffler.

The price is extremely high though, considering what it takes to weld something like that together.
So I guess you are paying for the fact that they did some design work and it's well tuned for buses.

What ever happened to Judson? Looks like they are going to make some OEM parts available again.

and now with the silliness out of the way, I ran an extractor like that on my Bus for years .. think mine was a Bugpack "brand". Never had a problem with the header portion but the mufflers fail in a year or less. The Bugpack unit uses a standard 2-1/2" collector flange so gaskets aren't too hard to find and any decent muffler shop can weld up a better muffler if you need it...

Indeed it is. How're your royalty payments adding up?
And . . . your long-term consumer review of that fine-looking Real Flatulent Cow Sound extra-torque/horsepower exhaust system?

Just got it the other day. Not that one but the same one made by Thunderbird. Pulled it out of a pile in back of Trafton's. $30!!! Just had to sand off the surface rust and hit it with a couple of coats of BBQ paint. I'll post pics later. Even if I end up not liking it, it will be an affordable alternative until I get a stock one.
