Dag nab it Luke! The teeth stripped in the window regulator on Gretchen's driver side door. Pesky.

I suspect not. Ashley wants $150, Trafton $50, for used, also mentioning it's rarity. $90 online, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. May be out and about tomorrow.

Crap! That's crazy expensive. Rare parts are a bummer.

Sigh. Trafton had none. One busted up one in worse shape than the one failing in the car. If anyone has a line on one, please let me know. Otherwise, it looks like I'll be exploring repairing the one I have.

Check Craigslist in other cities.
Put up a Samba "wanted" ad.

In my youth I through away the bumpers off my '62 Ghia. And a stock bug exhaust from the engine that was originally in Bertha. Never again.

The bug and bus window reg. are not the same. To my regret, i have changed both.
