Would she make a decent Secretary of State?
Do John McCain and Lindsey Graham have a point in their declarations to block her nomination?

Sure, she'd make a good SofS.
John McCain and L. Graham both had their asses handed to them for screaming the "Sky is Falling" when nothing was/is going on. Haha, this is the "New Watergate"? Wow, trying hard to get some press....
Now that Obama has a "Mandate" with his re-election (more votes than Bush), let's see some bills pass in Congress.

Was she responsible for "vetting" the intelligence briefs?
Was she responsible for toeing the administration's line?
Did she have a responsibility to report what she thought had happened, or should she have respected the fact that the CIA did *not want to attribute the attack to give al Queda the publicity they craved*?

Either John McCain is offering up some opportunity for us to improve the understanding of how agencies communicate with each other and us, or he is out of control.

I understand she read the "Talking Points" she was given and approved by the CIA. Here we were in the middle of a situation and everybody didn't want to screw up so the "Talking Points" were watered down as they should be until everything was known.
McCain has his head up his ass again and just trying to make political points in the press as he has been out of the limelight for awhile...really poor judgement.

I like it that we have had women as Secretary of State under Clinton and Obama and should continue with Rice when Ms Clinton resigns or appoint MrClinton and really shake things up.

That would be . . . fun.

The degree of rage I am happening across in blogs is startling. The Old Guard is not going down without a fight.

The whole idea of secession of states is crazy but then the people that loved Romney are that IMHO

Secession in my mind is treason. Is that talk wide spread? Is there rumors that Clinton will resign?
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Texas is the big secession state, but many deep South states dabble in that talk.

Clinton herself has said she will resign. Don't you love how she was pilloried back in the Clinton years, but is well-respected now?

My cousins in DC who work in the FedGov and nonprofits don't like her. Quote "Her word means nothing". So I will be glad when she steps down. I'd really like to see Bill Clinton take the job and try to solve some of the MidEast and other whole problems and just be a leader in US Foreign Policy.
I'd also just like the US to get all the troops out of the MidEast and let the locals solve their problems. Trying to change a rattlesnake into a rabbit hasn't worked to well over there.
