Yes. There is a quite a pent-up demand for camping opportunities for the Baywindow and Vanagon folk, and Finnon is the perfect place for it. If it works, I have a perfect spot for the Southern California people too.
I am afraid that if I don't foster and facilitate bus camping for my area, nobody else will.
Not every bus event has to be just for slammed Splittys!

A previous event this year -this one actually: http://pjalau.blogspot.com/2008/04/ridi ... erras.html
- began this discussion. We were all hanging about on motorcycles and in busses, making bad jokes, drinking good beer, when Joe said: "Do you think that we should have a Bus only event?"
We sat silently, contemplatively even, and pondered the thought. A Bus only event? Really? Who would do such a thing? What kind of weirdo drives a Bus? Are there enough of them on the road to justify an event? Even more so, are they even drivable? They don't even have air conditioning...
So we told Joe - absolutely not. It would be a bust, a waste of time, a wrong move, unthinkable. Joe looked at Maggie, scowled, and said "I'll show them... I'll show them all! They think I'm crazy but I'll show them." Rubbing his hands, he stared intently, and Maggie licked his face - a clear sign that Joe was onto something.
Back in his secret lair, Joe has been planning this for months. It's his evil plan of doom and it goes somewhat like this:
Step 1: Bring busses together
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Profit!
So, if you want to have a good laugh at Joe's expense, show up! Bring your bus. Prove to him that his evil plan will not work.
I'm in. Of Course.
Joe, should I save the second seat cover for a seat covering demonstration? Apparently, we have gotten good at it.

Might I recommend Montana De Oro? Outside of Los Osos? Probably a good half-way point for norcal and socal people to meet, camp, have beer, etc.
5pm is a little late, and we will hit the traffic? No way to leave a little earlier? Say, around 3:00?
I'd like to drive along the levee roads to Sacramento - it's slower and more scenic. Everyone could meet somewhere in Antioch or Pittsburg and all head out together.
Big Blue? Are you two in?
-P
P.S. - After the great success of installing my new seat cover, I'm planning on doing a demo of the seat cover replacement on Saturday.
See you then.

We'll try to make it too. We're moving around that time so that may get in the way, but otherwise this sounds like a good plan. We could probably leave Friday afternoon as well and meet people in the delta somewhere. [/url]
