Thank you for this story. I knew nothing about it before, but it's been resonating in my mind the past week since I read it. I'm sad it took so long to ID the young man, but at least they finally figured it out. I feel for his mother. He was on a fun adventure only to have it end so abruptly with few clues to his identity. ...and I think they misread the girl's names on the note, I read it differently.
