Staying away so as not to sully themselves. An understandable decision, but we need the courage of those who understand to go forth into the swamps of self-interest and tell it like it is. We have a few, Bernie Saunders comes to mind. Yes, he will be and has been excoriated, but he has held up to honest challenge.Jivermo wrote:I am sick of all the bullshit from both sides. It is a continuous torrent of lies and deception. Let's not even get into the incompetence shown in the healthcare/government systems in dealing with the Ebola crisis. We have some major problems facing us as a nation, and we need smart, courageous decision makers to lead. Where are they?
We cannot let the "sick of the bullshit" drive us away from our important civic duties however. I would press this point upon parents especially, not to give their kids the notion that "we are not going to vote because they're all the same". Too many people have died for our right to vote not to vote.
