Kinda belongs here.
Autozone sells fuse holders that are high rated and look almost exactly like the original inline fuse holders (reverse lights, booster fan).

So THAT'S why everyone likes em'!!!Amskeptic wrote:NGK spark plugs have the best threads, nicely rolled and smooth.
I personally have wondered why the hell people stick to the Bosch plugs......a spark in a 67HP engine just doesn't have to be that complicated in its execution....but threads...THAT is a big deal!

Genuine VW '72-'79 taillight assembly are a mixed bag here. http://busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=211945241RK
Housings fit well and lenses are of nice quality but the bulb holders suck. The tabs are flimsy and not copper like German originals. Tabs are also in a different configuration so some wires come up just short pulling them to tight. Overall nice and if your original bulb holders are in good shape you can pop them into the new housings.

Jim, a list member on the Type 2 list, sells Hot Spark... A faux Pertronix rig.
http://www.hot-spark.com/
I got mine yesterday and installed it on my rebuilt 205s distributor. It's running the Guac right now.
It's quite a bit cheaper than the Pertronix, but otherwise there doesn't appear to be any difference.
I'll add some pics when I get home. They're on my laptop and I forgot to bring it to work.

Keep us updated so we know. It sounds like a good, cheaper alternative to Pertronix & Compufire.DurocShark wrote:A quick update about the Hot Spark: It failed soon after installation. I emailed them, they replied super quick with suggestions. I tried them to no avail, and they've already shipped out a replacement.
Killer service.
I'll post when new one is installed.
