I've seen in REI.com hammocks that are tents...or, uhm, tents that are hammocks.

I can't sleep in a bivi. Too claustrophobic. I cant imagine sleeping in these either.

That top one looks like a speed bag for grizzlies.

Freaky!
If not for the bus I'd sleep on the ground.

Treepee combines the timeless appeal of a tree house with an excitement of aerial suspension and a trampoline to create a whole world of possibilities.
That sounds fun and kinky, I like it!

People sleep in this? I don't understand how it's possible.

Our neighbors had someone living in their backyard for about 2 months this spring and he was using one of the cot tents. It kind of lost it's appeal to me after the 3rd week or so.

I'm with Russ, too claustrophobic!

You guys would laugh at our tent, it's a complete opposite of these, the McMansion of tents. In fact we call it the Taj Mahal. Sleeps 10 and has two separate rooms. We actually put our gear in one room so that it's just sleepytime in the other room.

Ever try a snow cave? You'd spend the whole night wondering if you'll suffocate or be buried by a collapsed roof. I'd have to be pretty frozen to attempt sleeping in one. They are quiet though.

Snow cave??? :pale:

Spelunking is a sport that I could never be excited about. A snow cave would give me flashbacks from scenes in Akiro Kurosara's Dreams...one of the vignettes is about stranded climbers in snow. They freeze to death in reality but they hallucinate to a snow fairy fantasy when they are dying...
