WTB - '78 GE muffler for catalytic converter engine

Post by Quadratrückseite » Sun Jan 27, 2008 8:49 am

I'm looking to buy a nice used muffler that would fit a '78 GE California bus engine that has a catalytic converter. I want to try and keep the cat converter for now - that's in good shape, but my muffler is all rusted out. I'm hoping to find a nice used one for a decent price. PM me if you've got one, or know where to look for one!
Thanks,
Steve

Call Richard at oeveedub. He has the real german stuff in the states. If I am not wrong in 78 the set up was the same, there was a -cat pipe, then the muffler. The size of the muffler should not matter.I have 2 leistritz 76-78 mufflers but I am making sure my 3 year old nephew won't have to worry about replacing the exhaust after I am long gone.Nos leistritz is best and then anything you can find made in Germany, old ernst, bosal is italian,I woul avoid these. If Richard cannot help you call Scott@ german supply. He may very well have good used one to get you by.Great guy who will not do you wrong.Hope this helps.
