vehicle of choice? The Lincoln :blackeye:
Maybe I should . . . Michigan isn't that far. Just carve out ten days for silliness and have a tow outfit on stand-by.

That would be cool! And I would not be shy asking you if I could take it for a spin around the block!
Oh hell yeah! Plan your visit for the third week of August and you'll be a hit at the Dream Cruise. The ACVW gathering spot isn't actually enforced, so we'll have the best of both worlds.

Well, Colin, after how many (?) consecutive years of a day or two of your time and skills brought to bear on me and my fleet, I have to say... everything is actually running well! The '72 Sportsmobile, the '73 Wild Westerner (now for sale!), and the '75 Mexican single cab are all up and running.

I suppose we could do things less oriented towards running and stopping, like rebuilding doors or something. But most of that work is just waiting for my free time.

So, for the fist time, I am not in urgent need of help, and that's due to all the great help you have provided in the past.

Still, things can change, and the doors do need a rebuild, so I'll put in a tentative yes, if you are in northern New Mexico.

Your tentative yes will be helped by a yesyes from the Bowers and pmaggiore. I can communicate with pmaggiore. Our appointment time would likely be right at the end of May/beginning of June.

Hello Colin,

I'm in Coos Bay, Oregon sort of midway between Washington and California on highway 101. I'm moving in July, but if you are going to be in the area between now and then I would be interested in doing a couple days with you. I have a '73 passenger bus that I am slowly converting to a tin top camper. If it is ready my goal is to drive it when I move. Hope all is well.

Been in garden planning and prep mode for the last couple months so I missed the kick off of this thread. You can count me in this year as well. I'm planning on going to the RendezVW as well this year so a visit could dovetail nicely. I also may have successfully recruited another local Seattlite (Mitch...Zelten on the Samba) so I'll ping him to make sure he's paying attention and chiming in if he's interested. Hopefully, that can make the fuel spent detouring up to Seattle a little more efficient.

Andrew (Ronin10) reminded me that you may be headed this way. I am interested. I'll work with Andrew to make it official. Thanks!

Hi Colin,

I’m definitely in for a full day here in Detroit. I found you too late last year and would love to learn all I can from you to keep my 81 van on the road and making memories.

EDIT: I should let you know we’re expecting our first baby around 9/24
