In a sea of grey, silver and slightly darker grey cars - perhaps orange is simply too distracting.

I think all next years IAC customers should get autographed copies of this by Jivermo and Colin.

Shaoni Bhattacharya is a paid shill of the International Association of Autobody Three Stage Paint Council . . . :blackeye:

So, orange is too "distracting"? Let's all endeavor to be more distracted by orange.
I wish my attacker had been more distracted by my huge orange popsicle.
Instead, she didn't even see it. Didn't even see it. She just didn't see it.

A) That scares me. I wax until my arms fall off to get that paint shiny and more reflective. Should I make my metallic reflector paint more metallic? Tin foil wrapped around like a hat?

B) I bet you'll be doing this regardless, but does the shop/insurance company know/care that you'll be rust-catalyzing the newly exposed metal and possibly top-coating it too? And are they beating it out or replacing metal?

Good luck! :silent:

We are using weld-through primer. We are replacing the left rear panel. I think we are metal-working the bumper. They are least-familiar with the frame/bumper captive nut area, but we will pull the frame back, then reweld. They have been warned that the plastic access hole caps are more valuable than the entire candy-purple metallic street rod sitting there.

Biggest problem according the guy is the paint match.

Find out what paint they spray. If it's Dupont, let know, I did a bunch of research a few years back when my old Chrome Yellow bus was hit by joyriding fourteen year-olds. I have the mixing formula zipped up somewhere in my Greta folder.
