Are you passing thru the Phoenix area? If so, I'd be in for a day to do some fine tuning on a couple of my VW's.
I will be travelling through Phoenix. A well-thought-out list of specific areas of concern for each vehicle ordered by importance, sent to my Inbox will help us make a productive day of it.

From my perspective, the earlier, the better-- but I know your affinity for those cold spring rains. My only no-joy dates are currently May 9-17. If you can, please pencil me in for an early May date if possible (as opposed to September- where I'm currently penciled in).
Thanks so much!

How gloriously dry and spacious is your garage these days?
Colin :cyclopsani:
Dry and spacious. Both 2-bay detached (less glorious) and 2-bay attached garages (slightly more glorious) are at our disposal. We should be able to stay quite warm and dry, even if unhappy storms show up. Let me know if a pic would be helpful- I can pm you if you'd like. thanks, Scott

Would you like an Itinerant Air-Cooled appointment, or just a local beer pizza stop?
Colin
Local beer pizza stop. I know it pro'ly depends on how your other visits in this area go, but PM if you're interested.

Bless you. Find someone else who needs a visit near you! You are the most expensive detour of all visits, but I love the beauty (and frying heat, mmmm) of that trip!

Are you still planning a New England swing? It looks like it is getting squeezed out.

Colin, I'm pretty flexible in July at this point. I'm actually in Redwood City between San Francisco and San Jose. I'll have a list for us that will easily consume two days :profileleft:

I was going to do Vermont in the fall just before I pick up the Squareback, but it looks like the schedule has just gotten a hit due to a pressing family appointment May 23/24 in Essex NY. Stay tuned, be flexible.

Hi Colin
I'm new to this forum but have been reading for a couple of years. I would be honored to partake of your wisdom and skill in the application of elbow grease to my '74 Westfalia. I'm in north San Diego county not far from Oceanside. I see you have some CA dates on the 2015 itinerary in the works and am hoping that you could fit one more SoCal date in there in either July or August (i'm very flexible).

Thanks in advance.

Read the Deposits/Details, the itinerary Speil and whatnot, and shoot me a PM with your List of Concerns.
I'd be honored as well to apply haughty supervision over the application of elbow grease to your '74 Westfalia. And I can pray hopefully that you have the factory dual carbs, too.

Thanks Colin.
I have read the details in advance and will send you a PM in the next day or so. I do have the stock Solex dual carbs but am interested in learning how to maintain those, adjust idle, timing, do my own oil changes, minor electrical system housekeeping, etc. Bus Maintenance 101 on a stock survivor that I've had about 2 years now.

Why yes, yes I do. I can put you in Wednesday May 6, and heck, have time to catch a Wednesday night gathering of the Atlanta VW contingent nearby . . . . . .
