Factory dual carbs are the best.

Alas, I do not have time to become a master engine rebuilder...
But I'm afraid that I will have to make time.
It's looking to me like this 1974 1800 AW engine is showing signs of needing a head rebuild. Can we do that in a day?
I should start a thread on that. Maybe a PM

We can diagnose and come up with a repair order perhaps, but head work itself is machine shop only. You can get the quality parts yourself, and make nice legible instructions about how exactly you want the heads to be done. Or, we can reinstall completed heads and get them and the engine in the car and running . . . :shaking2:

OK, count me in. Judging by the State Name abbreviations, it looks like October is going to be a busy month. So far, all I know is 'The Why'. 'The Where', 'The What' & 'The When' are still to be decided. I am sure 'The How Much' will be taken care of before 'The When'. 'THE HENCEFORTH AND FORTHWITH' has never been an issue and 'IN CONCLUSION' can be determined when I remove the winter blanket and inspect the damage.

As the list fills up, we will be making schedule adjustments. I am trying to execute a schedule that allows me to work HERE IN FLORIDA (details at 11) for as long as possible, then gives me the most efficient path to Oregon by June 13. If the northeast fills up, we *have* to put everyone in the fall, and midwest *has* to be early June.
The DeschutesRiverRendezVous bisects the loop, ya know?

Put me down for either before or after vwbuff since you will be at my place anyway.

Maybe we can get Brotherbran to drop by over here one of those days in his sweet SC for grins and envy.

Big schedule change yesterday, folks, have a look and get back to me, so we can get this schedule outline to emerge.

Looks like the schedule is almost full. Good for you!

Doesn't look like any extra time around my date to squeeze any locals in. Which is fine. I will tell the two guys that they snooze, they lose!

My date is fine.

I think the current list is going to get edited somewhat as we go. I saved all of my cancellations from last year to get an idea of how many people express interest but do not follow through. It was 19% . . .
Y'all send your List of Concerns from most-important to least-important now, y'hear?

I know you are morally opposed to performing heavy maintenance anyplace where you have the chance for assistance, a lift to a FLAPS, or indoor plumbing, but I still owe you a kayak tour of Lake Somerset, so feel free to stop by on your way to Carleton.

No tedious repairs of dying laptops allowed this time! What's the water temps in late May?
