Like this?

I have only an IDE external hard drive bay with me. Will pick up a SATA somewhere around here.
I am blown away that this Pavilion M7 has a 9 hour battery. For the past six years, I have only been able to enjoy approximately 20 minutes of battery power.

Bummer. So I guess we should have just gone kayaking after all? :flower:

Ah well, next time.

Yep. We sure should have.

So will you be holding a memorial service for the dearly departed once the organ harvest is complete?

By three methods we may learn wisdom:
First, by reflection, which is noblest;
second, by immitation, which is easiest;
and third, by experience, which is bitterest. -Confucius

Well, that is the thing, life is for the living. When the Road Warrior was killed, I said good-bye the very next morning and It Was Done. That old Compaq and I had a good run too, but once it refuses to participate, I must move along. Now this new computer doesn't know what's coming, and I do not know if it has any stamina but we're in it together for as long as it wakes up. So far, it is pretty nifty . . .

No way can current tablets compete with the utility of a laptop. Just thinking through a myriad of typical tasks (cut, paste, spreadsheets, typing anything longer than two sentences, drag & drop, etc.) makes me cringe. You're very limited by only having a touchscreen as an input device.

If you're all about browsing the web, watching movies, and composing short emails, then I get it. If you do more than that, even occasionally, I don't see much competition.

Did you get your data from the hard drive of the Presario?

Glad to see you and the new laptop getting along!
