I would ship them by bus (Greyhound) to your destination.

Colin - for continuity sake, since I picked you up at O'Hare airport a few years back when you picked up the BobD, hows about I buy back my old Volvo 240 from my brother-in-law, drive to PDX, and do it again?
I am sure the Volvo would make it.....not sure about me
Good luck.

Re: The TBRRupturedDuck Travel Thread
in 2007 I just paid for an extra "bag" and had all of my tools in that. it was around $100, but I bet it's crazy expensive now.
id probably go FedEx or UPS for the tools, so you can track and insure them while in route. you will of course need to be able to box them up and get them on their way well before you leave which could prove tricky.
I haven't done the greyhound thing personally, but people always talk about it being the cheapest way to get heavy items cross country.

Re: The TBRRupturedDuck Travel Thread
Hey Colin I sent you a PM over on TS about getting it registered and everything I need to get it done for you.....just wanted to make sure you saw it. I'm out of town helping with disaster relief in the Southern Tier right now but I will be back home on Friday if you can get me all of the documents I told you about it will be done on Friday and sent back to you wherever you choose.

Our very own pj (a prince) overnighted the bill of sale and previous registration from when Mike had it. I got it two hours ago. Will fill in the NYS MV 82 and DTF 802 and blah blah blah and send them to you with a blank check.
Thank you all! I hope you embarrass my brother when he sees how people get things done on time and as promised.

So, if I need engine balancing, who can knock it out out there in the chilly drippy rainy foggy Portland mists?
