I drove to work this morning.
That is all - just a nice quiet drive.

No holding my breath and willing the bus to get up the hill.
No desperate yank on the shifter to try to find second before momentum was lost.
No jumping back and forth between the accelerator and brake as I came down the other side of the hill and tried to avoid stalling at the stop sign.
No stress about whether I would roll back at the lights while hitting the gas and slipping the clutch enough to pull away on a slight hill with a dysfunctional handbrake.
No wondering if that sound was a happy ticking or an ominous clacking.

Driving the bus to work this morning was a pleasure again.

I also got to spend a day with an interesting guy who taught me a lot without me realizing how much I was learning, and never made me feel like an idiot.

If there is anyone on the fence about whether they need a visit from Colin all I can say is just do it.
You might remember what made you buy your bus in the first place.

Congrats! I know exactly how you feel since my first visit with Colin is still a very fresh, wonderful memory. The knowledge and empowerment he bestows is absolutely amazing. Glad you got to feel it too!

I am very happy to have driven a Weber-equpped bus that actually had manners. Don't think I wasn't crossing my fingers after our intake tract overhaul-by-flashlight. Good car. Good manners. Good company. Once again, I find that my VW customers are an alert bright bunch of people.
