Yep,
Forest Creek camp is about where we turned around and yes, the road is was gnarley.
We plan to attend Nehalem this year and have researved site A37.
I'll also be following the camping thread here more closely. Looks like I missed out on a great retreat.
See you at the beach.
Mike
I am sorry to hear that we missed you. Sounds like you made it pretty close too. Oh well the adventure rocked I bet?

A great time was had by all. Somehow made it there on my own. Can't believe those old roads were on my GPS. Gotta love Zane jumping outta his skin when that mouse Tetley was digging for decided to run for it. I missed the sausages of others but mine were very good. JG taught us the term "Wookie Nookie"! A little scary on the way out. If we had waited another 30 min we'd have been fighting snow on that road.

The road to Forest Creek is the un-gnarley part....what lies beyond...between Forest Creek and where we were....wah ha ha! Good you turned around...your wife (assumption here) would likely not have liked the last couple of miles. I stalled in 1st gear a couple of times trying to make it up and around hills and ditches...gnarley I tell ya, gnarley. And had that road been wet? Wah ha ha. :cherry:

See you at Nehalem...A-23...look for a keg and a 'lil black dog :cyclopsani:

This one shot really brings it all home.

That looks like a C7 chord.
Don't know that I have room in my bus for my guitar but I know my mandolin fits. :compress:
I'm pretty OK following along if I have the chords or know the song.
Man, the more pictures I see of the outing, the more ist off I get that I couldn't follow directions to get there.

We should do this more often, I agree.

Mike, there will be other times. We "try" to post a campout often (every month or two)...the makeup of the group varies ... this was one of the "biggest" we've had in a while...sometimes it's just me and Hammy...sometimes 3 or 4 ... sometimes 6-10. You can post your own too! Pick dates and a place and see who comes. We "may" do a snow camp again...I heard rumblings about that last weekend (shoot, we came darn close to having a snow camp already!) Likely early December if'n it happens. And...yer in for Nehalem...correct? Great chance to meet a bunch of camping folks.
