I'm rounding up supplies for the trip .. well not *right* *now* right now but in & around work. Gotta clean out & organize the camping gear, haven't done chit with that stuff since the ill-fated Maupin campout last summer. Got the Bus off the tow truck and it pretty much just sat...

Tell me more about this...did you just lay the pizza in the bottom, or did you rig a rack on the inside somehow????

You're gonna dig High Rock. Unless we wind up fixing that outhouse all weekend! Man that would suck. Let's not.
I want to explore Signal Buttes too, just up the bend.

People have busy lives, I understand. It's just such a drastic change from previous years.
Don't give up Bob. My Summer was over before it even started this year. Way to much going on. Between scheduled crap and the crap that just pops up, Ive been knee deep in crap. Granted, some of the crap has been a lot of fun.

I'll be there for Hunter's Moon, that's for sure.

I've been using these "paper-ish" dutch oven liners lately to keep things cleaner...not necessary if you have a well seasoned oven or don't mind cleaning. Yes, just lay the thawed pizza in the bottom, about 6 coals underneath and 12-15 coals on top. Let 'er rip for 20 minutes or so before even lifting the lid...then monitor. Works AWESOME, and the oven gives it a flavor you won't get in a conventional oven. This will be a staple on camping trips from now on. Excellent

Is hunter's moon the same thing as the sausage fest? I marked off October 15th, 16th, and 17th for sausage fest.

More or less. We usually have a camp in September, one in October and then sometimes a Snow Camp in December.

You guys would really dig either Little Badger Creek or Linney Creek. Maybe we can have a camp at one of those, and at the White River like Mark is talking about? I am optimistic.

In truth, it is almost always a Festival of Sausage at our camps! :flower:

Whattaya say Mark? Linney Creek in September? White River in October? Something like that. Of course it will be just me sitting there in my green lawn chair. :blackeye:
