No moon in 1930, no moon today! Historically accurate we are.
Just the area surrounding the spring and creek avoided the 1920s fire Barb. The rest is full of pretty small trees for 70 year old growth. Harsh conditions make for small trees.
Of course just down the mountainside areas were clearcut in the 70s or so...
I saw a few meteors but not the firework show that I expected. Can you believe sleepy-headed Hal went to bed too early to see stars the first couple nights? :drunken: I managed to keep him awake the last night by building a fire.

Even without an alarm clock I was waking up around 6am .. which makes it hard to stay up until midnight, 'specially when we'd been busting butt all day.

Eh it was OK anyway. That's the nice thing about these trips, everyone is free to do their own thing. I wish ya woulda drank more BEER though! :drunken:
