Yep. Met a gal, moved to Idaho., She's got a 9 yr old son named Jack. He's never been camping, but he's all ready for it.

Well, get after it! It would be great to have you join us in a couple of weeks. Zane and Eli will whip Jack right into camping shape :geek:

March 25-28 or thereabouts.

I'm guessing 2710-015?

Stop with the maps hammy! All three you've shot me are different ... the place is easy as hell to find ... I'll post directions as the date approaches.

Different but very similar. Just ignore that NS road. 2710 is the main route.

I like to know where I'm going so I can research the area beforehand for historic use.

Forget the route we used the last couple of years. Go to Tygh Valley ... take the road in front of the Tygh Tavern and go past the fair grounds. Follow the main road (Happy Ridge / Badger Creek Road) and just past 2700 road entering from the right will be crappy 'lil Little Badger Creek Campground. Continue another mile or two and the 1st prominent two-track on your left is marked 1002710 or something like that...doesn't match the only road shown on the FS Map .... take this for 1/8 to 1/4 mile and the camp is there. Look familiar? :geek: :geek:

Yep. Crabass. I can't help my map fetish. :profileleft: You'll be sorry when you need to travel back to 1935 for some good quality spoons.

Check it out, Badger Creek roadless area info that hasn't been on the web for years, but I remember it being useful. I was actually able to find it on the Internet Archive, pretty cool.
http://web.archive.org/web/200501151159 ... info2.html

P.S. on the NORTH SOUTH ROAD:
Do not attempt to get there via FS Road 160 which appears to be the shortest route--as this road no longer goes through, having been obliterated 3 miles from its junction with FS Rd. 2710
Yes my memory is a steel trap. Eventually.

Crabass...that's funny. Just messin' wit ya! Yeah, all those maps are a bit wonky and don't really show what's currently there. All I know is the 'lil spur off the main route that heads into the camp said something like 10002710 ... didn't match anything on my maps. About 2 miles past Little Badger camp...if that. Once I hit the road past the fairgrounds, I just stayed on the main drag. I appreciate your desire to research old trails and history...I do...I really really do.
