Mt Shasta campspots

We'll be chugging thru the Mt Shasta area this June and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a really excellent camp spot near there, right up on the mountain or spectacular views of it....really up for anything.
Anyone?

I know some good places in that general part of the state, but they're more of a "you can see Mt. Shasta in the distance" kind of area .. farther west.
Though one of them .. on a clear day, you can see both Shasta and Lassen. In the distance, but...

this campground. Free, too!
