I'll try to git em' on tonite.
Glorious! I swear it was colder in the summertime.
Mark and I got there about 10 on Friday morning, scampering about for rain that wouldn't arrive for a day, setting up tarps.
Spent the days hiking, exploring, eating, clearing trails, drinking beer. Difficult to come home!
Hal made a celebrity guest appearance on Saturday, but only stayed an hour the crazy guy.
For all you lightweights that stayed home, you should try to get out in the next couple weeks. It's supposed to be pretty much the same weather.

On that first video -- I felt like you were speaking right to me.

On Saturday it was windy and pouring sheets of sideways rain here in Sherwood and I thought of you guys and I felt your pain. Then, the weather cleared up to blue sky and the pain I felt was my own for not being able to partake in the cylindrical meats.

Hoping things settle down domestically and occupationally to make it out with you dudes next time.

It's not "air-cooled", but it does have an air compressor. Does that count?

Finally, photos

Yes, I was an active participant in the 2008 IAC Sausage Festival. Here's a few photos...should have been a shroom fest but neither Bob nor I had the necessary experience in picking the right ones :drunken: .

Yes, Hal, I think they are, though they look a little like oyster mushrooms in that photo. I would need to see the gills to be sure. This one also looks like a larger chanterelle. Mmmmm, yummy, I just googled images of chanterelles to enjoy the beautiful photos.

Yeah, not being able to see the gills is why I said "probably". Chanterelle and Chicken-of-the-Woods are the only two edibles I actually know how to ID...

What's the silver insulation stuff wrapped around the pop-up tent on the red westy? Looks neat how did you do it and why? Do you have better pictures of the set up I would be interested in a closer look.
