Not having a bus sucks...

Post by static » Sat Aug 16, 2008 8:43 am

I miss my bus.

My bus is sitting in my driveway, it is not currently suitable for road travel of any duration, and I am taking this all personally. I am sulking.

On Tuesday, the chaps at The Buslab will make it better: they will install the rebuilt Solex that keifernet sent me. They will tune it within an inch of its life, they will harass me endlessly for not being capable of doing it by myself and then they will charge me handsomely for my incompetance.

Last week, I suffered the ultimate embarrassment: I had to take my Mercury Villager minivan to a campground.

Is there no end to this shame?

Meanwhile, I have to read about all the cool places the DjEep gets to go.

Pardon me while I pout.

I'll play for you, brother.
So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

But seriously, hope the transplant goes well.

Also, none of the "cool places" we go have bathrooms or guys that bring you little bundles of pre-cut firewood on the trailer of an atv. Might be a little to "rough" fer ya.... :blackeye:

Joe--that's a bummer! But I must say pretty hardcore to rallye around a campground in a mini van. Rock on with yer bad self.

I would like to fire up my violin for a chorus of "Got two buses but can't go camping cuz we're too busy hustlin and schmustlin".

This year we've done about 1/3 of the campouts we did last season... :crybaby:

Well, between moving and Spiffy's back ... I think you've got some excuses you can use.

I am pondering making the WetWesties Catherine Creek campout.

That is, if my bus ever runs again.

Didn't you have problems with the carb on the way home from Maupin last year? I hope they work it out, festering carb problems are mucho frustrating as you surely know.
