OK, back on track .. please?

Excluding this "weekend" because of just short-short-short notice and lack of funds, we're pretty much game for a Thursday/Friday trip any given week. As far as I know, anyway -- Mary sometimes doesn't clue me in to her plans until a day or two before whatever-it-is-she's-planned-on happens.

Maybe next "weekend" the 17-18th? Or the one after .. hmm, mebbe I outta poke into the Hambone Springs thread and see what's going there. I could conceivably get up there Thursday AM and head out about the time everyone else shows up, all Changing Of The Guard-like...

That would be pretty cool! Hopefully the Abbot Road doesn't freak you out, 1st gear for about 4 miles.
The camp is pretty obvious, tho it hasn't been maintained for about 30 years. It's reverting back to the wild.

Hi All,

First post here to second Miss Zora's open invitation to the shack. Since it's normally pretty hot this time of year, I'd suggest a cool period with a low misery index potential. High 80's is doable, mid 90's and above can be awful. I just filled up the outdoor shower this weekend, so there is some relief if its hot and there is nice shade on the deck, in the shack or under the trees.

I've got plenty of fresh water, mosquitos, deer flies, rattle snakes, an outhouse, a horseshoe pit, a couple of picnic tables, a safari style stove, no reservations required and too much other junk being defiled by mice in an unloved trailer to mention.

Sounds just like the Heathman right?.

Mmmm.. delicious rattlesnakes. Tastes like chicken.

Marc, howzabout we pencil something in for (Washington) Su Casa more towards August .. heat-permitting of course. Mary and I are tied up around the house this "weekend" and the next one is the Hambone Springs trip.

.. which you're more that welcome to show up at even if the Vanagon isn't done. I mentioned it a bit to Paige when I saw her Sunday morning and she sounded pretty up-in-the-air about it, something about a clutch..?

And you'll get a scientifically accurate response to that poll, as long as the answers are "yes", "sure" and "of course".

I'd be checking "other" if that's an available choice. Hell I'll even write the poll question tomorrow. Wait, it's already tomorrow. Laaaater. :colors:

Since camping season is almost upon us I figured I'd reawaken this thread. I still have the Sun-Wed work week, and I know Hal has an odd one too.

My days off will be shifting come April. Instead of Monday and Tuesday, I'll now be enjoying Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. Sucks all the way around. Even might bite into Monday evenings.

That's not a good camp-schedule. So it goes.
No, I don't work there. Another cube-farm in Portland.

Currently my work week is still Sat-Wed, but it could change in the next few months. Somehow the bosses are turning me into some sort of assistant-assistant manager at the store...

DEQ tomorrow and -- with any luck -- registration tags for the Westy. Then I can start thinking about campin' in the woods with Youze Guyz...
