I got up at sunrise to take those pics, runnin around like a goon while everybody was sleeping. Mt Hood was cloud free for 5 minutes the entire weekend.
Beautiful.
I was telling turk about the high elevation trek you took last summer. I thought that was way cool. I thought you took your wife on that one, but he couldn't imagine she'd go.
Went with my daughter, we usually take a few day backpack trip when she's out here for the summer. She's tougher than me, I'm a scaredy cat of those loose boulder fields etc. Yeah my wife doesn't have the desire to camp unless it's warm and sunny, out of the bus. I guess I don't blame her but I can't sit still so weather be damned! Of course now it looks like I have a cold from last weekend, coughing up squirrels.
Are you sure that's not Elaine? I mean, really, would a man where shoes like that?
You leave Jennifer alone!! (yeah I gotta admit those shoes are pretty gay)

Maybe so, I just choose not to wear my sexuality on my sleeve, or foot, as it may be. I agree that wearing shoes that radiate girliness can make the statement that you are comfortable with your masculinity.
But then, who exactly are you trying to convince?

Touché. I'll try to keep a narrow stance when I wear them.

Wasn't there a recent report about those shoes leeching toxins into the systems of those who wear them?
Note to self, make sure all camper locks are working when next camping in the vicinity of Gypsy.

Hammie, beautiful pics!!!!
Cool to see that you are enjoying your camera, you have a patient eye for that stuff. Kudos.
Just got back from sunny San Diego...felt nice to be in the warm sunshine.
All this talk about shoes
I balance my croc girly shoes with combat boots and thus achieve sufficient machismo to keep my mangina at bay.
