Hoh Rain Forest Campout

If you folks haven't seen this place.....you should! I know we have a few events in the cooker this year but let's see if we can't squeeze this one in kind of like we did the San Juan trip.

Ya know it may be smart to go to a "rain forest" when it would be raining elsewhere anyways. Late Sep would work, that way we don't miss out on the summer warmth and sunshine.

Like we talked about at Nehalem, I just wanted to put this one on the radar.

I think late September would be good. I'm thinking of doing the San Juan's in late August this year. Specifically the 17th-23rd. I'll know for sure in the next couple weeks.
Chorizo, it's what's for breakfast.

Not sure what the future holds. I'll know more in a few months.

Lots of trails around there...that is the cool part, you could just wander around the whole weekend on short, medium, and longer hikes. Lots of elk around there too.

Some of the trails are interpretive so if ya want to bring the wee ones, it would be a cool experience for them.

I want to see this happen and I want badly to be a part of it. Late September is the peak of my steelhead season...but WTF. The weekend of Sept 18, 19, 20, 21 is best for me...but it needs to hit my calendar soon. Don't wanna be the decision-maker for ya'll...but the only way I'm in that time of year is to block out dates now....or, it won't tweek me the slightest bit if something else works better for the rest of the gang...I know these outings don't always work for all...that's why we collectively try to schedule so MANY  . Hope to see you all in April on the Barlow Trail somewheres...snowpack permitting.

I'd still like to try to make this trip work, Mike. I'd need 3-4 days to make it worth the trip...the 1st week in September may be my only window...that may change as my schedule shakes out.

I got to visit the Hoh Forest and it was beautiful! A friend from Seattle flew me to visit her and we went there. So much green and so much fun!
