Nehalem Bay, Oregon...Feb 1-4....who's goin'?

Post by deschutestrout » Wed Dec 05, 2007 4:42 pm

Just finished an awesome bus outing with friends an I am ready to think about the next! Gotta have a campout to look forward to...helps keep me tickin'.

So...WetWesty "Un-superbowl" gathering at Nehalem Bay State Park...on the "northern" coast of Oregon. Last year...30 or so buses...good weather....great time. A nice state park with good beach access, good campsites, and a meeting hall which the WetWesties rent for the weekend. A lot of our "core" Oregon group (and the Spiffmeister) attend.

So...who's all planning on attending?

I propose that the Oregon IAC core group (and yes, Mike and Elaine can come too :geek: ) take over the sites around the corner, closest to the beach (kinda where Hambone and Gypsie ended up last year) ....we'll still be plenty close to the "action" and still have our own 'lil abode....whatcha all think?

This'll be my first wetwesties event. It does sound fun. I'll be bringing the entire clan this time around. See you there.

Try I shall. Anything to miss the Super Blow.

I was looking forward to this. Unfortunately, I can't take off Friday and I found out last week, I'm going to have to work on Sunday. So much for Unsuperbowl for me. Have fun without me!!!!! I did get a free day off yesterday which was nice... and I'm going camping tomorrow!!!!

Have fun camping Wayne...let us know where you ended up. Sorry you can't make the Nehalem thing....we'll pick a date soon for the spring Mt Hood / Barlow District outing so you can arrange for days off.

I have a feeling I'll get a day or two here and there... but won't be looking at any real time off until June. Ouch.

We'll just converge on your driveway and take a dip in IFBlake (aka the hot tub),

I promise I won't scare the neighbors

much.

Looking forward to Nehalem! Guess that will be the '08 camp season kickoff. 2007 has been a hell of a year, first time I've ever camped in Feb or Dec. Got to know some good people along the way too.
