Yous guys bringing a tarp or do I need to pack one?

I have a big bag o bungee chords to help secure. We may have to create a wind resistant tent/bus city.

Or grow some gills.

Mark and I met for Sushi with my lovely bride and the day in Beaverton found us basking in sunshine ... for a minute or two. Mark looks well prepared and ready for the elements. He even brought a nice parka for Zoomer.

Have fun you guys!!! Wish I could go with ya.. keep this in mind.. camping in rain, wind, snow and sleet is still better than working!!!!

What a trip..nasty slush on the way there, sleet and chilly for a couple days on and off, then steady cold rain. Had to chain up on the way back over OR6. Road was closed up near the pass for a spell, with a truck in a ditch. 5 hours to get home and I'm still beat. I've never seen the entire stretch of Coast Range covered in such deep snow, it looked like the High Cascades.
Really good to see my friends again although altogether too brief. Mark thank you for the wonderful dutch oven food all weekend (I came home with most of my food), John thank you for the beautiful rug. Spiff, thank you for only farting once or twice peacefully and for not bringing wet wood. Hope you guys make it home safe.

Great, great weekend. A bit wet at times...but hey...that's what raingear and firewood is for  . Bob filled you in on the weather. Broke a bit mid-afternoon on Saturday...at least it quit raining hard and blowing....had a good hike on the beach before the traditional potluck...then, back to the fire for continued festivities and frivolities (sp?) Roads were good coming over 26...Stephan, John and Anthony and I cara-bused back to PDX....no chains required. April seems like a long ways off for the next camp trip,,,,,ho-hum.

Thanks again all for the great weekend! John, you're gonna like your new poptop insulator! Now back to drying out the soggy schtuff.

How'd Zoomer do? We told Chippy we saw him and her ears perked up when Michele said, "Zoomer doggy!"

Oh, Chippy is gonna be jealous!!! Zoomer had Tetley humpin' him all weekend....still doesn't quite know which end is up. A friend came over tonight with a similar-sized dog and Zoomer was not happy at all....still a bit sore I guess.

Everyone else get home ok? The pass today was no trouble at all, in fact smooth sailing all the way home.

LOL

Darn "Chorizo" again.

Thanks for the great weekend folks, I needed the outdoor time. Feel like I have my batteries recharged, even though I'm really tired :cyclopsani:

I'll post the night shots when we get home today.

Thanks for all the good grub and beer.

Jasan, those tires are BEAUTIFUL!!! I don't think I'll ever wear them out.

Bob, thanks for the 009 parts and a peak at your perky and happy happy engine, I need to get Bill sounding that nice.

Anyone else discover instrument damage? My mandolin separated at the back seam from our late night campfire concert. Arggghhh! Now to determine the best way to save it.

Bob, I love mine even more after that trip. I had a ton of sand in it and it all just hosed out. It was even dry in about an hour.

Sorry to hear that Mark, that sucks. I would think some Elmer's wood glue, clamped overnight ought to fix it up. You'll probably have to take those ten million strings off first. :joker: Good luck with the repair.

Yes, mandolin tis glued and clamped...left tension on the strings...was able to clamp around it...thought I just may get better bonding than re-tensioning after the glue was dry...we'll see.

What kind of rug are you talkin? I'm tired of dealing with soaking wet rugs.
