Camping on a Business Trip

Post by drober23 » Mon Jul 10, 2017 8:06 am

There are only so many business hotel rooms that one wants to stay in...

So, when I get a business trip a relatively short drive from home in the camping season, I like to take the bus and stay at a campground! This confuses the accounting droids, and they grill me about it when I turn the expenses in. I just tell them that in general, hotels frown upon having a campfire in your room. It's also fun to drive my beat-up, rusty looking bus through security at the customer sites.

This week I will be camping near Chautauqua Lake as my customer is in Lakewood, New York. Unfortunately, the weather calls for rain most of the time I will be there. Hoping I get at least one nice evening in.

It was fun! Rained a bit, but the bus ran well and sleeping was ok. Got my campfire in!
