Age of Pasola:
Late Miocene
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Late Miocene (also known as Upper Miocene) is a sub-epoch of the Miocene Epoch made up of two stages. The Tortonian and Messinian stages comprise the Late Miocene sub-epoch.

The sub-epoch lasted from 11.608 ± 0.005 Ma (million years ago) to 5.332 ± 0.005 Ma. The Late Miocene Period was when the Australian species Thylacinus potens lived.

P.S. this will be Don's maiden voyage in his bus! Wish him well.

Pasola: The Blood Sport of Sumba
Every year the clans of Sumba face off in one of mankind's most ancient and violent rituals: ceremonial battles on horseback that often have very real consequences. They say it's not a Pasola until there's blood on the field.

One hell of a camp, didn't see a soul. Steep, lots of giant trees, lots of clearcuts. Found the old trail but it may be a goner...
Randy where were you????? Kept hoping all the way til the end.
