November Middle Cascades Camp?

Post by DjEep » Sat Oct 05, 2013 1:46 pm

Talking to Ham last weekend, we entertained the Idea of another camp down this way. I Have a few spots in mind, for intrepid travelers. Looks to be an early winter, perhaps, so we'll probably stay a little lower.

I am battle scarred and still weary from our last camp, but intrepid as all hell and would delight in another chance to get slapped around by Mother Nature.
Early Nov. sounds good. I would also like to get out one last time in October in the Clackamas.

Yeah? Or even the 7th? Some of you guys must have a spare day off lying around.
Could we meet in the middle somewhere? I heard some grumbling about the long distance for a weekend. Yeah it is a long haul in the short season.
What about this: somewhere where highways 22, 20, and 126 come together. There is a lot of wilderness in that vicinity, and it's still pretty close to you. That would make it more affordable for the broke. I know you were thinking of further out but that's too far for me for this trip unfortunately. Yeah yea? I gotta clear this with the family first!
Do you know that country? All I know is Mid Santiam a little, and 3 pyramids somewhat. We'll see what the weather has in store, pineapples most likely, what is next?

Only things I really know out there is the the McKenzie Pass area and Breitenbush area. But that sounds fine to me, Meetin in the middle. Might be able to pull some recon this weekend.

Soon you'll be in the land of raybans and ocean pacific, soaking up the rays on the beach with a million others. No more wilderness for you, get a job hippy. Oh too late.
