sluggo,
Have you seen this:
http://www.dfw.state.or.us/resources/fi ... amette.asp
Fresh stockers just about every week. Harriet lake is a nice place fer a day of fishin' There are a few spots where you can pull yer rig right up next to the lake and set up your pole while sitting inside if'n it's rainin'.

Yer not the only one fishin':

"I can't believe the lack of interest here. Kind of a bummer, I miss these trips with you guys. RIP IAC NW camps, no sense getting all crazy if there is no interest."
:geek:
Hambone trip gonna be a light one? At least three so far.

I really thought I heard that the road to Hambone was slated fer blockage. Hopefully not. I am heading out for this one Friday after work.

I'm willing to bet lack of money has something to do with it.

Thanks! That link is the best! Harriet, Faraday & North Fork just got stocked yesterday so they should still be good next Wednesday. I'll have to hit North Fork again at the end of August. It's getting stocked with 16,700 legals on 8/29!

Hambone, How is Abbot Rd. coming from the opposite direction? I'll be coming from the SE the 57 to the 58 to the 4610 (Abbot Rd.).

Abbot Road is one way due to a washout. You must follow my directions or you won't make it.
From Zigzag, 26 to 42 to 58.
I didn't realize anyone was coming besides Sluggo and me. I miss the excited pre-camp chatter, which has been absent. Ok I'll stop harassing everyone.

Cool. That's the way I'm coming. Google says to take that road behind Silver Fox RV Park (4610 / North Fork Rd.) all the way.

If you're coming from the Willamette Valley, do this:
OR 224 thru Estacada, past Ripplebrook.
LEFT on 57
Just BEFORE 57 turns to gravel -
LEFT on 58
Climb like a mofo to 4610 at High Rock.
LEFT on 4610, climb more
look for Abbot Road sign on dirt road heading LEFT at crest of hill. Watcher ass on Abbot Road, steep narrow and rocky with a dramatic dropoff. It's FUN.
It's about 3 miles to the camp. Once you pass thru the BOULDER ROAD then you're almost there. Camp is on your right.

If you're coming from the Zigzag area, do this:
US26 to 42 to 58, RIGHT/STRAIGHT on 4610 (then follow same as above)

Does this make sense?

Come Thursday! I'll be there.

Hambone Springs up in the clacky river system zone....

Type in Hambone Butte, Oregon in google earth and you fwill see where it is . I just noticed that it also has Hambone springs campground" listed with a little bed...Awww aint that cute.

I can imagine Joe city slicker Sayin, "hey hon, let's check out this campground up in the hills..."

Funny, it hasn't been a campground since 1960. Well a bus does have a little bed...
Here's a Googlemap of the area:
