Still trying to plan the next step re: Squareback/income/travels.

This was a very fun year folks, and even though we did walk through some valleys of discouragements, crazed perseverence was our shepherd, and there were occasional miraculous resurrections of the famous air-cooled VW spirit in cars that had patiently waited (for years even) to be adjusted and lubricated correctly.

I will post the profit-loss statement shortly. . . it is pretty punk :blackeye:

I'm up for another visit :)

I don't need anything big done - bus is running great, But I'd love to have you come by and we can spend the time doing field strategies to keep the bus running while I'm on a road trip.

hmm, You know, I'm actually looking to buy a single cab... Maybe I'll have one by the time you get here! (very doubtful though, usually takes me 6-9 months to find a vehicle)

Also I did get a complete spare type-4 motor that I plan on rebuilding down the road... could be something we can do there as well.

Mike (I have too many projects but love em all)

I'll be livin in Portland at that time and I would LOVE to have a visit if possible. I don't know where exactly I'd be but..
Is that too out of the way?
Is there such a thing as too out of the way?

My mind spins at the idea of a Colin visit! :bounce:

I only need three or four people and we're on. I will likely be in the Squareback with a hulking 091 transaxle sitting in the back. . . .

Find two local PDX VW owners who also need HELP! and I am on my way.
Serious, man, I want the flexibility of not going insane with financial stress.
I only need to cram it all into November :drunken:

So Cal

Colin, I'll take a day since I missed your last trek through southern CA.

November Save The Squareback Month

I have a request. . .I would love to have a couple of Texas, maybe an Arizona or two, and a couple of California calls. Can we find some people who need a day?
Colin
When would you be strolling through Texas, brother?

I want Sean Patel to chime in, a nice Tucson stop would be just the thing to warm up my chilled bones here in northeast.

You bet. Unless we need to pull my Squareback's engine to make the vibration die down a little.

Colin do you know yet when you'll be heading our way? I know you may still not yet know, but I thought I'd ask anyway...

After my visit with Sylvester, I will be able to speak with more assurance. I have to awaken that Squareback from its long slumber and get it road-worthy and sensibly packed...
