Hippie Bus

Post by Amskeptic » Thu May 31, 2007 9:43 am

You all should know that Hippie, the oil-bath lawnmower air-cleaner fabricator, has been busy and it hasn't been just rolling doobies and tuning out. That '69 bus of his has gotten to a state of pretty, clean, and functional VW bus motoring. A real pleasure to drive and an attractive unique interior, I do, I do, I do love the forced genteel pace required of a 57 hp Type 1 engine. "Achtung! Jou VILL enjoy vatching ze flauers crow alongzide ze motorvay!" This bus has the classic firm brakes of the pre-assist era, an excellent knock-them-out shifter/clutch set-up, and the engine is sounding really good after our frightening failing generator pulley outing of two year ago. Enjoy that bus, it's a good one.

Thank you very much.
I spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to make it better, and I think the PO (who reluctantly had to sell it) would be pleased.
A lot has to do with the fact that it spent by far most of it's life in so cal not getting rusty.
