What do you guys think? I'm considering getting a second VW and was looking at bugs but these came up:

IMHO.
The 412: seems like a good price, and a totally awesome unique car with the best air-cooled engine VW ever designed, but ghod help you if you ever need a fender or something.
The Type III: that one looks like it has been screwed with a lot; I'm looking at the gauges and steering wheel, and the fact that it needs paint. I'd pass, unless you've got a pile of money and it's rust-free.

yeah, the squareback has been messed with too much.
the 412 looks pretty solid in pictures and I am tempted just to at least look at it. remember, I have Willy for body work. :drunken:

No...my debt and possible looming unemployment kicked me into reality.
I would love to have a second rig, preferably a bug, but I have to make sure I have enough income to keep a roof over my head first. :blackeye:
