Depends on how content your kids are dealing with cold, wet weather. Could make for a case of cabin fever real quick.

Thanks for that White River info, what a mess....and that's a major route. We could take US 26 and bypass it, depending on weather of course.

Or, you could just go to that place that I suggested, thereby avoiding the Siskiyous and letting some of us Californians attend.

You're talking about a difference of 5-6 hours drive time and that's just for the Portland folks. Add 3 more hours for the Seattle people. More than I'm going to do for a weekend. I'd rather spend time actually camping than driving.

True but I'm wondering what route 48 looks like south of there. I'm betting that those small campgrounds along the whole stretch of the White River aren't quite what they were.
