PDX/Seattle Meet & Greet
The details are still being hammered out, but anyone up for a trip north to visit & meet some of our neighbors?
It looks like Saturday, November 9th is the date, afternoon or evening-ish. The initial talk had it taking place at Notchboy's place but he's nixed that.
We can carpool...

Whatever we do, we need to coordinate with these guys on TheotherSite since they're the instigators:

Re: PDX/Seattle Meet & Greet
Ummm... my place may not be the place you think it is. We moved awhile back and although all are welcome, I don't know that my place is the best place but if it gets down to it, we can certainly do it there.

Re: PDX/Seattle Meet & Greet
I thought you lived in suburbia with a big 3 car garage and large driveway. I live on Beacon HIll and street parking is tight and I have a one car garage (where the Ghia lives). There is a great little pub up the street with great beer and food if we want to meet here with all that Seattle style but forget working on cars here.

Re: PDX/Seattle Meet & Greet
Yep, that's me. I thought you might be thinking of my old place with the big three-car shop and neighbors that didn't care. Doable at my new place if need be.

Re: PDX/Seattle Meet & Greet
yeah, twenty years ago I had the 3 car garage, large driveway house on 5 acres in Issaquah. That was a good life except the work commute was horrible to Seattle. I miss the garage/shop space!!!
If the guys on the Samba come up with a good place I'll go as I am here until January, then I am in Suriname to work and winter over in the Sun.
ok, here's a Meet: https://www.facebook.com/events/1427421647470136/ that I'll try to be at all the way up in Edmonds.

Re: PDX/Seattle Meet & Greet
That's the same group of peeps. Usually they do stuff on Tuesday evenings, which is no good for people coming from P-town that have .. jobs .. to go to the next morning. Which is why I suggested a weekend thing.

Re: PDX/Seattle Meet & Greet
Ok, now I get it as the Tuesday thing doesn't really work that well for me either.

Re: PDX/Seattle Meet & Greet
Fingers are crossed. Our place would work, but it's closer to Portland than Seattle. Plenty of room, overnighters welcome. Amboy WA east of Woodland next to Lake Merwin Camper's Hideaway.

Re: PDX/Seattle Meet & Greet
Methinks I would need a ride, but game. Cheryle could run me over to Woodland for easier pick-up and drop off.
