This thread sure did quiet down. :scratch:

Noodles will be coming with me. No mussels because of of a "paralytic toxin" that's in mussels & scallops on the west coast for the last few months. But we are gonna try for some crab!!! Is there gonna be a pot luck this year?

Potluck. I believe the IAC crowd will pull something together to avoid the crowd in the community bldg, so bring something really good to share :geek: ... Randy, are you in a yurt this year or standard site?

Thanks for the heads-up, I was planning on going clamming in Nehalem Bay because crabbing is not in season. Looks like the shellfish closure is in effect from Cape Argo to California Border but open North to the Columbia River.

I'm not aware of an actual "crabbing season" ... crabbing in some areas has been a bit slow as the commercial crabbers are going strong out in the ocean, but we crabbed over the weekend near Tillamook and got a couple of big tasty crabs!

Well if that's the case I will have to give a try. I have not been crabbing since I was a kid and I am bringing my little boat. Somewhere on the ODF website I found some blank statistics for January or February and made an incorrect assumption. Upon further investigation I have found that crabbing is open year round in coastal bays.

It's official: Miss Zora and I will not be attending this year. I'll be driving down to the Bay Area on Tuesday and won't be back until the following Monday. I am sending a few new recruits your way. I will miss you guys!! :pale:

Next year though for sure. :occasion5:

I've marked my calendar for Maupin, too!
And for you Burning Man curious folks, there is a VW Bus Camp at SOAK (regional burn).

SOAK* The Portland Regional Burn
July 18th - 21st, 2013 :: Prindel Creek Farm

No Nehalem for me either, kid-duties for the entire weekend. I am bummed! But if I brought her it would be most unpleasant, she doesn't do well camping in the cold and I wouldn't have any fun. :pale: :pale: double-frowny
See you guys at the next ACTUAL camp, most likely in March. Then the Badger Creek camp, whatzits, early April this year???
Crap!
