Drip Drip

Post by Bizzle » Wed Sep 26, 2012 6:25 pm

Been working on getting the baby to run just to ride it up to h20 this weekend with friends

Ran into this tonight when i turned ignition off.

The right carb kept dripping fuel into bowl, like an IV in a hospital....that worries me...should it?

See video to see what i mean

Typical of poorly-routed fuel hose getting too hot.
Typical of an incorrect float level adjustment.
Typical of a hot hot day with an aftermarket fuel pump that does not have the trick cut-off valve that came with the car.

fuel line could not have gotten hot, engine only ran once for about 15 seconds
Then...drip drip drip drip

Float valve adjustment could be it
I didnt adjust them
PO did after having them rebuilt

As for aftermarket fuel pump
I am unsure
This is my first sqr
So everything in the engine is new to me
Looks like a normal fuel pump for the engine

Fixed

Then proceeded to fry something just as I was finishing up syncing the carbs when I knocked a link rod onto elec connection on auto choke :angryfire:

Engine died and something electrical went up in smoke inside front of car

What a nightt lol
