plastic delaminating on westy cabinets

Hi, all.

I've been noticing that after 40 years, the glue that attaches the plastic veneer to the cabinetry in my Westy is finally giving up. I've tried re-gluing them with 3M #77 spray adhesive, but it doesn't seem to be holding effectively. Has anyone found an adhesive that can work for this? I would prefer something that I can insert into the gap and then close, without having to actually peel up the plastic (I did some tests on a ruined Westy cabinet that I came across, and found it very difficult to lift up the plastic without it shattering).

I have been having good luck with SuperGlue for little bonding jobs around the bus.
Do an array of little dots no wider than your palm press area as far in as you can, press hard for twice as long as you want to, make a new array of dots closer to the edge, press hard for twice as long as you want to, make the last array of dots 1/8th in from the edge and press flush for twice as long as you want to.
