Rivet vs Welding

Hey everyone,

I thought I would give you status update on my nose repairs. So I decided to go the cheapest route. I'm having the nose repaired as is. No new pieces and welding. Just rusty metal, a hammer, and sweat. I'm glad I'm not doing the work.

I found a guy that works at a shop that does VW restorations that agreed to do this on the side for me.

I figured if any of you are like me, you love pics of buses in the process of being repaired. It's no finished yet. The body guy sent me a pic of his progress. I'll update this thread as I get them

It's called 'character'.

Them bumps and bruises we get that make us who we are, pound em back out and get on your way.

Some leave bigger marks than others.

Worth the effort to make it right again.
