Front Turn Signal Housing Removal

How does one remove the turn signal housing on a 1973 Bus? ( I want to replace the rubber seals ) I took off the lens. No go. Tried to go in through the back, hard to see. Took out the glove compartment, now a clear view, but still not obvious how to remove!

Help.

PS: Removing the glove compartment is easy and exposes behind the dash wonderfully. I'm going to leave it out and clean up my wiring.

How does one remove the turn signal housing on a 1973 Bus?

They are rivetted to the front panel. Drill them out. Then be sad because you now have to re-rivet or find discrete nuts/bolts that won't get in the way.
