Hi Jason,

Those parts aren't made anymore, so your best bet is to find someone nearby with a bus that has been stripped for parts. Many scrap yards in the US and Europe offer parts from bus shells that they have acquired. Are there any VWs in wrecking yards near you?

If you are willing to pay more shipping, I think some of the various yards in the US like BustedBus, TheBusCo, and AirHead Parts might be willing to work with you.

And Kind Regards to You.

Please expect that the armrest air vents that you do find will have several broken tabs that normally hold the "tinnerman nuts" that allow you to screw the ducts to the door card. Normal glue does not work with this high styrene plastic. Two part epoxy might work.
Colin

(p.s. vapor barrier is key to long health of door card)

Reverse switch screws into the transaxle with an aluminum washer to help prevent oil leaks.

What is "the reverse light"? I know only that there are two reverse lights:

Good Morning
Thank you for your response and links great help
In South Africa we call the lights a reverse light, I think you call them Back Up Lens. I need the complete unit not just the lens

Regarding the control unit, my mechanic says its the unit that attaches to the gearbox tells the wiring to activate the Back Up Light when engaged in the back up gear. Its attaches to the gearbox to function the light when in reverse gear.

Yes, and I believe Wolfsburg West has the complete assemblies, and not just the glass "lenses". I wouldn't call them back up lights or back up lenses, but our vendors sure do come up with whatever words they feel like.
If not, try Ken at Busted Bus in Colorado US. He should have a set of used "reverse lights".
