Body shop / Paint shop? (Socal)

Post by Xelmon » Tue Sep 26, 2017 10:14 pm

Located in Los Angeles, Beach cities area.

More than willing - and able! - to drive, as I'm sure there's basically no shops around here.

I realize that this is a fair stretch, I still would like to try as I do so trust this place, and I do have a rig that is of similar vintage albeit... *Ahem*, a bit less than VW.

At this point of time it's garnered too much distaste because of it's looks, so, it's time to fix that.

I'm watching this thread.

The only recommendation I had was from the garage on the Warner Bros studio lot. The guys there used these a place in North Hollywood and liked them: https://www.yelp.com/biz/jacks-auto-bod ... d?start=20

I have no idea if they are any good with anything other than insurance work.

Realize this is a bit old...but you could do a lot of the prep work yourself and have someone else shoot it. Save some coin that way.

Doing your own prep can also cut down on the lazy overspray all over everything that so many cars suffer at repaint time.
