Rust removal and painting

Hola IAC. Long time no post. I've started getting back into the swing of working on the buses again and am tackling the sliding door on our Westy. First order of business is to remove the rust along the bottom edge and in an area where there is some body damage. My goal isn't to straiten out the dents, at least for now, but considering I've never done body work or paint I thought I was see if anyone wanted to chime in my approach. My plan is pretty straight forward.
1. Grind off rust
2. Prep area for paint (clean with spirits, tape off)
3. Several coats of Rustoleum. As close to body color as possible.
4. Several coats of clear
Thoughts? Below are a couple pics of what I'm dealing with.
Peace,
Troy
