Post by Bleyseng » Thu May 03, 2007 3:59 pm

What the hell, the ALT light is on after I pull the key. Charging fine when running...13.85volts, new VR, good battery

Probably a wiring problem. That light only comes on when there is voltage present on only one side of it. Alternator on one side, battery on the other. Turn key to on, the light comes on because only battery voltage is present. Start with the simple stuff like fuses. Disconnect the battery to see if it goes off. If not, alternator trouble if so, wiring.

Man, my battery light was on (very dim and barely pulsating) for the last 700 miles. Today, the battery finally didn't have enough juice to fire the starter.

This is a new one for me so where should I start hunting and how?
