I have no idea why but the no crank problem totally has resolved itself. Engine cranks merrily and fast.
I don't know what I might have done to change anything to make a difference.

The weather warming up could have had an incremental thinning of whatever cake of grease makes residence in your starter and solenoid. Or the relative warmth could cause a more efficient chemical reaction inside your battery, leading to improved performance. Or both!

Or maybe neither! Maybe some corroded spot on your ignition switch wore down enough to expose fresh contacts. We can't really know, but thanks for the update anyway! :pirate:
