What is this, and where does it go?

78 Westy, down below AFM, and air cleaner box, by fuel pressure regulator. I'm referring to the female plug assembly with the blue spade wire coming out of it, also. I can find no place that it would plug into.

It goes to the voltage regulator which is near the top of the engine compartment. See this pic:

Thank you. This was the first place I looked because of the proximity. There is already wiring plugged in there, where the connections are to the left bottom of the regulator. Bus had been running, evidently, with this disconnected for some time. I noticed it as I was pulling everything out on my continual vacuum leak quests. Always with the mysteries, these buses.

The picture I posted shows a relay that you might not have - the blue arrow points to a relay for the starter. The red arrows point to the connectors you have. Do you have a pic of the regulator on your bus? Are the wires at the other end connected still? Do you have an internally regulated alternator?

This is what I have going on at the regulator. I have a starter relay down below. Yours is certainly a better location for it. I'll trace the subject plug later today, and see where it goes, if anywhere.
