Bought a new stock cam and when I recieved it, it was an empi. Should I be ok using it; has anyone had an issue with empi's engine components? the motor is gonna be all stock- 1600 dp.

Hmm I don't know...I used Brazilian and it was really good quality for not a heck of a lot more cash.
Are you sure the backlash is OK? You can get different sized cam gears to compensate. Not sure if the Empi has that option.
Personally, I'd not use it. Probably Chinese. But I have no personal experience with them.

I just found out it is Brazilian. It says resolit on it but the box had empi on the top. Got it from chirco and they said empi does not manufacture cams

Cool. Be sure to check your backlash upon installation, that's really important.
